Top Isaiah Bond News

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: One grab in win

Bond secured his lone target for 16 yards in Sunday's 13-6 win over Pittsburgh in Week 17.

The reception was just Bond's sixth (16 targets) over the last nine games. His production has varied from week to week, and he's been hampered by inconsistency at quarterback, leading to just 17 catches on 42 targets (40.4 percent catch rate). Despite the erratic production, Bond's flashed enough (19.1 YPR) to be considered a future piece of the puzzle in the Cleveland offense.

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: Untargeted in loss

Bond was not targeted and had one rush attempt for minus-1 yard in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Bills in Week 16. He was credited with 21 receiving yards after taking a lateral from fellow wideout Malachi Corley.

Bond has shown chemistry with quarterback Shedeur Sanders, particularly on deep throws, but it wasn't there for him Sunday. It's been an inconsistent year for the rookie wideout, who went without a catch for the fifth time in his last eight games. For the season, Bond has caught 16 of 41 targets for 309 yards and zero touchdowns.

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: Two long catches

Bond recorded two receptions on four targets for 89 yards in Sunday's 31-3 loss to the Bears.

Bond was one of the few bright spots in Sunday's blowout loss, as he accounted for nearly half of Shedeur Sanders' yardage with long catches of 47 and 42 yards. It was his second time showing strong rapport with Sanders on deep passes, as he also had a pair of 29-yard catches in Week 12. Bond will likely remain inconsistent due to his role in the Cleveland offense -- this marks the first time that he's topped two targets in the team's last five games -- but he has shown the ability to deliver splash plays.

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: Shut out in loss

Bond failed to secure either of his two targets in Sunday's 31-29 loss to the Titans in Week 14.

Bond's two targets came on deep throws, as he had quarterback Shedeur Sanders have flashed some long-ball chemistry the last three games. Unfortunately for the rookie, Bond was shut out for the fourth time in the last six games. Cleveland's passing offense was the best its been since the Joe Flacco days (Weeks 1 and 2), which offers hope that Bond could evolve into a viable threat over the final few weeks of the season.

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: Gets two touches in loss

Bond secured one of two targets for 18 yards and gained another nine yards on one carry in Sunday's 26-8 loss to the 49ers in Week 13.

It's hard to get excited about anything related to the Cleveland's passing attack, but Bond's arrow appeared to be pointing slightly upward after he and quarterback Shedeur Sanders hooked up on a 52-yard play in Week 12. The target he didn't catch in Week 13 was on another deep throw. The rookie wideout has three catches on four targets for 76 yards in the two games in which the offense has been led by Sanders.

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: Catches deep ball from Sanders

Bond caught both of his targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Raiders.

Bond and Shedeur Sanders linked up for a 52-yard deep ball in the first quarter, which was two yards short of being Bond's first NFL touchdown but helped Bond tie his single-game career high in receiving yards. No other Browns wide receiver had more than one catch, so Cleveland's entire passing game will be tough to trust in Week 13 against the 49ers, regardless of whether Sanders or Dillon Gabriel (concussion) starts under center.

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: Returns to action

Bond had one carry for eight yards and did not catch his lone target in Sunday's 23-16 loss to Baltimore in Week 11.

Bond returned to action after missing one game due to a foot injury, prompting the Browns to make Jamari Thrash inactive. Bond played 23 snaps, third most among the team's wideouts behind Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman. Unfortunately Cleveland's offense, particularly its passing attack, is such a mess that there's little value in the team's third wideout.

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: Cleared for Sunday's game

Bond (foot) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Ravens after practicing fully Friday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Bond -- who was inactive Week 10 -- was limited Wednesday and Thursday, but a full session Friday paves the way for the wideout to be available to face Baltimore in Week 11. That said, with Cedric Tillman back in the starting WR mix alongside Jerry Jeudy, and TEs David Njoku and Harold Fannin both commanding their share of targets on a weekly basis, Bond doesn't have a clear path to steady volume in Cleveland's offense.

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: Another limited practice

Bond (foot) was limited in Thursday's practice, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Bond has now logged back-to-back limited practices to begin Week 11 prep, leaving him with one more chance to upgrade his activity level before the Browns decide whether to tag him with an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Ravens. If cleared to suit up Sunday, Bond will compete with Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman (glute) for targets, as the No. 3 receiver in Cleveland.

  • Browns' Isaiah Bond: Logs limited practice

Bond (foot) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.

Bond did not practice in any capacity prior to being ruled out for Week 10, so it's encouraging to see him handling limited reps Wednesday. With Cedric Tillman (lower body) having been activated from IR and potentially gearing up to retake the field Sunday versus the Ravens, however, Bond could be relegated to the No. 3 receiver role even if healthy.
