Texas A&M's Khris Middleton declares for draft

By Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer

Texas A&M junior Khris Middleton is leaving the Aggies and will declare for the NBA draft, a source told CBSSports.com's Jeff Goodman.

Middleton, a 6-foot-7 small forward from South Carolina, missed 12 games this past season, including seven of the first eight and another five games in late January and early February. He had surgery on his right knee in November, and tweaked it again during conference play.

Middleton, like most of the Aggies this season, never seemed to get on track. His numbers were down across the board, but he still managed to average 13.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

Most draft services project him as a second-round pick in the 2013 draft.
