VIDEO: College Station mayor fires back at Will Muschamp
He wasn't entirely serious. He was responding to a fan at a rubber chicken circuit meet-and-greet, not to a reporter at an SEC press conference. He had just finished paying the Texas A&M crowd a rather sizable compliment.
No matter: as soon as Will Muschamp said that one's first visit to College Station would be "the only time you'll go," he made himself a hefty number of new enemies in east Texas, including an apparently irritated Kevin Sumlin. It's one thing to raise the dander of an opposing head coach, but you know you've really touched a nerve when the mayor of the opposing city decides to film a video devoted solely to letting you know just how wrong you are ... and having some good-natured fun at your expense.
But that's just what College Station mayor Nancy Berry has done:
The ball is now in your court, Mr. Muschamp -- though we're guessing even you can't have much of a response other than to say Well played, Ms. Berry.
