Angels' Huston Street: Plays catch Tuesday

Street (oblique) played catch Tuesday for the first time since landing on the DL, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.

It's just the first hurdle for Street on the road back from a strained left oblique, but regardless, this is a welcomed development for those holding the right-hander. Joe Smith is 2-for-2 in save chances since taking over for Street in the ninth inning, but there's no doubt Street will resume closing duties upon activation.
