Bumgarner (7-2) was dominant Thursday, shutting out the Braves over 7.2 innings and striking out 11. He also hit his second homer in a 6-0 win.

Bumgarner took advantage of a woeful Braves lineup and turned in one of his finer performances of the season. He continues to strikeout batters at a higher clip this season (10.58 K/9) while keeping the rest of his ratios on par with his career averages. In fact, the only part of his game that has taken a step back this year has been his hitting (.143/.194/.286), not that it has anything to do with his fantasy performance as a pitcher. His next start comes against a red-hot Boston lineup Wednesday, but Bumgarner is virtually matchup-proof and should be started with confidence in season formats.
