Bleier was optioned back to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.
The Orioles needed to make room for Thursday's starter, Tyler Wilson, so Bleier was the roster casualty. He tossed four innings of relief during Wednesday's game after starting pitcher Kevin Gausman was ejected, allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits and one walk. The southpaw will head back to Norfolk for the time being, but he should be in line for another call-up at some point in 2017.
