Padres' Melvin Upton Jr.: Out of lineup Monday

Upton is out of the lineup Monday against the Rockies.

Taking a seat for the first time since April 11, Upton will hand over left field to Travis Jankowski, who is slotted in at eighth in the order. With a hit on the ledger in five of the last seven games, Upton has recorded a .185 average (5-for-27) with five RBI, three runs, one steal (in two attempts) and a 2:13 BB:K in that stretch.
