Yankees' Tyler Austin: Hits 60-day DL

Austin (foot) was placed on the 60-day disabled list Sunday.

Austin suffered a broken foot on Feb. 17 and is still a ways away from returning to live action. With Greg Bird and Chris Carter holding down first base in the majors, the 25-year-old will likely open his season in the minor leagues when he returns from injury.
