Cavs' Kevin Love suffers lower back injury during Sunday's game

A lower back injury forced Cavaliers forward Kevin Love to leave Sunday's contest against the 76ers, reports the team's official website.

The injury occurred during the fourth quarter of the game and Love did not return. Love scored 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds over 31 minutes before leaving with the injury. Love has been experiencing back issues for most of the season.

Coach David Blatt said the injury occurred when Love received an elbow to his back and he doesn't think it's a serious injury, reports the Akron Beacon Journal.

With the Cavaliers not playing until Thursday against the Heat, Love said the time off will help the injury heal and he expects to play Thursday, reports Cleveland.com
