Hornets' Cody Zeller: Could be sidelined for awhile

Zeller (knee) is not expected to be able to play anytime soon, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports. "He's not even doing the non-contact stuff at this stage, so he has a long way to go," said Hornets coach Steve Clifford.

Zeller was held out of practice again on Wednesday and despite the belief that it was likely just a minor injury, it appears he could sit out for quite awhile. He hasn't even been participating in non-contact drills, which is a bit concerning moving forward. It seems likely Zeller will miss Saturday's matchup with the Celtics and could end up missing a few games after that. Keep monitoring his status over the next few weeks to make sure he's not in danger of missing regular season action.
