  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Protects the rim vs. Brooklyn

Sarr logged 19 points (8-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and four blocks over 29 minutes during the Wizards' 119-99 win over the Nets on Friday. Sarr was responsible for four of the Wizards' 10 blocked shots during Friday's win, and the second-year center has recorded at least four blocks in four of his last six outings. He is now averaging 2.4 blocks per game, which leads the league among qualified players ahead of Jay Huff (2.3) and Isaiah Stewart (2.0). In his second NBA season, Sarr is averaging 17.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.1 threes over 28.4 minutes per game while connecting on 50.4 percent of his field-goal attempts.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Double-double in NYE win

Sarr registered 20 points (7-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and four blocks in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 114-113 win over the Bucks. The second-year center grabbed his eighth double-double of the season, and his second in seven games since returning from an adductor strain. Over that stretch, Sarr is averaging 14.3 points, 7.3 boards, 3.0 blocks, 2.1 assists and 1.0 threes in only 25.4 minutes a contest, giving him an even higher ceiling once the Wizards let him start getting the 30-plus minutes he was seeing in November before the injury.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Swats six shots in Sunday's win

Sarr tallied 20 points (9-20 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, six blocks and two steals over 26 minutes during the Wizards' 116-112 win over the Grizzlies on Sunday. Sarr showed his prowess on both sides of the floor Sunday, leading the Wizards in points while setting a career high with six blocks. The 2024 No. 1 overall pick has blocked at least three shots in each of his last three outings, and in his five appearances since returning from a six-game absence due to a right adductor strain, he has averaged 15.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 threes, 3.0 blocks and 0.8 steals over 25.0 minutes per game.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Swats four shots in return

Sarr logged seven points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, four blocks and one steal in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 126-109 loss to the Hornets. Sarr's seven points were his lowest of the season, but four of his 11 boards came on the offensive glass, and he made most of his presence felt on the defensive side of the floor with four blocks, tying a season high he set Nov. 7 against the Cavaliers. He has missed seven of the Wizards' last 10 games while managing a right adductor injury, but he should be available to play against the Raptors on Friday, given the additional rest.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Not listed on injury report

Sarr (adductor) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's game in Charlotte. Sarr sat out Sunday's game, which came as the second leg of a back-to-back set, but he'll be back in action Tuesday night, which will likely shift Tristan Vukcevic back to the second unit. It'll be interesting to see if Sarr, who has been limited to minutes in the mid-20s since his return, will be able to sniff closer to 30 minutes in his third game back.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Sitting out Sunday

Sarr (adductor) is out for Sunday's game against the Spurs. Sarr recently had an extended absence with a right adductor injury, so the Wizards are exercising caution on the second half of their back-to-back. The second-year big man should be available for Tuesday's clash against the Hornets. Marvin Bagley (calf) and Tristan Vukcevic are in position to handle the center minutes Sunday.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Returning Thursday

Sarr (thigh) is off the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Spurs. Sarr is set to return Thursday from a six-game absence due to a right adductor strain. His return means Marvin Bagley -- who has started in the Wizards' last six games -- will likely revert to a rotational role, though he could still have meaningful playing time off the bench if Sarr's minutes are capped.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Sunday

Sarr (adductor) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pacers. Sarr will miss his sixth consecutive contest due to a right adductor strain. With the second-year center sidelined, Marvin Bagley is expected to start, while Tristan Vukcevic should see increased burn off the bench. Sarr's next opportunity to play will come Thursday against the Spurs.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Another absence coming

Sarr (thigh) will not play Friday against the Cavaliers. Sarr will be sidelined for the fifth straight game, and it's not a great sign that he continues to get ruled out 24 hours in advance of games. Look for Marvin Bagley and Tristan Vukcevic to continue to fill the void in the meantime.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Saturday

Sarr (thigh) will remain on the inactive list for Saturday's game versus the Hawks. Saturday will mark Sarr's fourth consecutive game on the sidelines, but the good news is that the Wizards don't play again until next Friday, so perhaps Sarr will be able to get back for that one. Marvin Bagley and Tristan Vukcevic will continue to split the center duties in Sarr's absence.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Out again Thursday

Sarr (thigh) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Celtics. Thursday will mark the third consecutive game on the sidelines for Sarr, and it's not a great sign that he continues to get ruled out a full day in advance of tip-off. Considering there haven't been any updates of Sarr ramping up his workload, he should be considered doubtful for Saturday's game against the Hawks. Marvin Bagley and Tristan Vukcevic will continue to pick up the slack in Sarr's absence.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Out at least two games

Sarr (adductor), who won't play Monday against the Bucks, will remain out for Tuesday's game against the 76ers, Varun Shankar of The Washington Post reports. Head coach Brian Keefe said that Sarr's sore right adductor isn't a major concern, so the second-year big man could have a realistic chance at playing Thursday versus the Celtics. With Sarr out of action Monday and Tuesday, Marvin Bagley and Tristan Vukcevic should split the minutes at center.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Monday

Sarr (thigh) won't play Monday against the Bucks. Sarr was initially considered questionable for this contest, but the Wizards will hold him out for the front end of this back-to-back set. For now, he can be considered questionable for Tuesday's game against the 76ers. In Sarr's absence, the Wizards will likely turn to Marvin Bagley and Tristan Vukcevic.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Friday

Sarr (toe) has been ruled out for Friday's game in Toronto. This will be the second straight game on the sidelines for Sarr, and his next chance to play will come Saturday in Chicago. With Marvin Bagley (hip) also unavailable for Friday's game, Tristan Vukcevic will get all the run he can handle, and Anthony Gill will have an opportunity to get into the rotation.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Won't play Wednesday

Sarr (toe) will not play Wednesday against the Timberwolves. Sarr was previously considered questionable, but he'll sit out for the first time this season Wednesday. His next chance to play comes Friday against the Raptors. With Sarr sidelined, Marvin Bagley and Tristan Vukcevic are candidates to see increased run at center.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Iffy for Wednesday

Sarr (toe) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves. Sarr is in jeopardy of missing his first game of the season due to left big toe soreness. If the second-year center is ultimately ruled out, Marvin Bagley and Tristan Vukcevic are candidates for increased minutes. Over his last five outings, Sarr has averaged 17.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.0 blocks in 30.6 minutes per contest.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Double-doubles in loss

Sarr generated 25 points (10-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one block across 32 minutes of Wednesday's 135-112 loss to Houston. Sarr delivered a second consecutive double-double, following up Monday's 15-point, 15-rebound outing with a 25-point outburst. The second-year center had hit the 25-point milestone twice in 11 games before Wednesday's outing. On the year, Sarr is averaging 19.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.3 blocks per game.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Turns in strong final line

Sarr provided 17 points (6-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals in 31 minutes during Saturday's 111-105 loss to the Mavericks. Sarr struggled as a shooter during Saturday's matchup, but he still managed to reach 17 points given his shot volume. He continues to find work on the opposite end of the court, leading the Wizards in swats. Sarr has racked up three or more blocks in six of 10 appearances so far this season.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Drops 31

Sarr finished with 31 points (12-20 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and three blocks across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 136-107 loss to the Celtics. Sarr filled up the stat sheet in an otherwise forgettable night for his squad. The French import has now scored 31 points twice this season and is averaging 19 points per game.

  • Wizards' Alex Sarr: Flirts with triple-double in loss

Sarr compiled 19 points (8-16 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal, two blocks and two turnovers in 29 minutes during Monday's 119-102 loss to the Knicks. Sarr set a new career high in dimes, and with 4.1 assists a night on the season, he flashed some solid facilitating skills. He's looked like a completely different player in Year 2, and Sarr's currently flirting with top-30 value on the strength of averages of 17.0 points (52.7 percent shooting) to go with 8.4 rebounds and 2.1 swats per contest.
