Buccaneers' Jameis Winston: Struggles against stalwart Broncos defense

Winston completed 17 of 35 passes for 179 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 27-7 loss to the Broncos. He also gained 19 yards and scored a touchdown on five rushes and fumbled once but recovered.
The sophomore quarterback gave the Bucs some hope with a seven-yard touchdown run in the first quarter that knotted the score at 7-7. Unfortunately for Winston and Tampa, that was the closest they got to the Broncos, who endured the loss of starting QB Tracy Siemian to a shoulder injury to still cruise to a relatively easy victory. Winston averaged only 5.1 yards per attempt while getting sacked five times. The 22-year-old did curtail his amount of throws significantly after putting the ball up a combined 110 times over the prior two games, but also posted his lowest yardage total since Week 8 against the Falcons in his rookie 2015 season. Winston and the Bucs will take on the Panthers in a road tilt on Monday Night Football in Week 5.
