Patriots' Chris Hogan: Bills decline to match offer sheet

The Bills have elected to not match the three-year, $12 million offer sheet that Hogan signed with the Patriots, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Hogan, who caught 36 passes for 450 yards and two TDs for the Bills in 2015, adds some needed depth and size (he's a 6-foot-1, 220-pounder) to the Patriots' receiving corps, which recently bid adieu to 6-foot-3, 210-pound Brandon LaFell. The unit is currently headed by Julian Edelman, though given that Danny Amendola is due $5 million in base salary this season, it's unclear how solid his roster spot is. In any case, Hogan looks like a nice fit in the New England offense, with his fantasy prospects in 2016 boosted by the fact that he's destined to see his share of snaps and targets in a Tom Brady-helmed offense.
