Price is on schedule for his return from a lower-body injury suffered in late November, the Montreal Gazette reports.
The news comes down from Montreal general manager Marc Bergevin, who clarified that the recent acquisition of goaltender Ben Scrivens isn't indicative of Price behind his original six-week recovery timetable. The star netminder is still on track for a mid-January return, which can't come soon enough for the Habs, who have gone a disastrous 3-11-2 without him. Mike Condon and Scrivens will handle the crease duties in Montreal until Price comes back, as Dustin Tokarski was reassigned to AHL St. John's on Monday.
