Capitals' John Carlson: Won't play Thursday

Head coach Barry Trotz ruled out Carlson (lower body) for Thursday's match agains the Canucks, Chuck Gormley of CSN Washington reports.

Carlson skated on his own prior to Tuesday's practice, but will be out at least one more game so plan accordingly. Carlson had six goals and 27 points in 34 games prior to the injury, which has held him out of the lineup since Dec. 28.
