Cousins accepted his $937,125 qualifying offer from Philadelphia on Thursday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
It seems the Flyers are uncertain about Cousins as they were unwilling to offer the restricted free agent a long-term deal, but did not want to lose him outright. With his contract in hand, the 22-year-old will look to improve upon the 10-point season he had in 2015-16. Fantasy owners likely won't jump on the center, but he may be worth keep an eye on in deeper leagues.
