Nicklas Grossmann: Placed on unconditional waivers

Grossman was placed on waivers Saturday for the purpose of terminating his contract, Elliotte Friedman of HNIC reports.

Friedman speculates that Grossman could be exploring the idea of playing overseas. This news isn't likely to cause a stir in fantasy circles as Grossman only played in four games with Calgary and struggled in a bottom-six role, going scoreless with a minus-4 rating.
