Sabres' Kyle Okposo: Absent from practice

Okposo is still fighting an illness and did not partake in Thursday's practice, John Vogl of The Buffalo News reports.

Okposo missed Tuesday's game against Columbus, but the Sabres have a four-day break before their next game on Sunday against the Islanders. In the midst of a strong season, Okposo has missed most of March due to an injury to his ribs. The Sabres are out of the playoff race and hoping to finish the season on a strong note. Okposo's status for Sunday should be updated over the next few days.
