Most adults can't even do five pull-ups in a row. This high school junior just did over 7,000.

According to The Washington Post, Andrew Shapiro started training seven months ago with the goal of setting three Guinness World Records for pull-ups, inspired by his father's five-year battle against colon cancer.

Shapiro's hard work paid of this past Saturday, when he completed 7,306 pull-ups -- handily surpassing the previous 24-hour record of 6,800. It only took Shapiro 18 hours to complete his 7,306.

Along the way Shapiro also set records for most pull-ups in six hours (3,515) and 12 hours (5,742). He was watched by 15 judges at a Relay for Life event in Fairfax County, Virginia to verify the records.

So next time you're at the gym looking up at that pull-up bar thinking, "this is just impossible," remember our good friend Andrew.
