The Rock for president? Dwayne Johnson sees potential political future
Stranger things have happened

Imagine the State of the Union opening with entrance music while the Speaker of the House bellows, "Do you smell what The Rock is cookin'?!"
OK, that's unlikely to happen, but The Rock -- also known these days by his real name, Dwayne Johnson -- is not ruling out a political future.
In a conversation with the British edition of GQ, The Rock explained that he's given politics some thought and running for office is not something he's dismissing as a possibility for his future.
"I'll be honest, I haven't ruled politics out. I'm not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can't deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people's lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first."
If this sounds like an impossibility to you, think again.
Actors, wrestlers, celebrities and cross-overs in all three areas have all served as politicians both in the recent past and as you read this.
President Ronald Regan and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger were both famous actors. Saturday Night Live comedian Al Franken is currently a Senator. Oh, and Jesse "The Body" Ventura of WWE fame served four years as Governor of Minnesota. Plus, obviously, Donald Trump is currently the Republican frontrunner for 2016. (Taking this one step further, Schwarzenegger and Trump have both made multiple appearances on WWE over the years.)
Anyway, back to The Rock, who has followed up his Hall of Fame WWE career by becoming one of the biggest box office stars of all time.
The Rock has achieved a lifetime gross of $2.2 billion (average $97.6 million) for the 22 films in which he's appeared since 2001, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. He has 11 films already announced over the next three years (including remakes of Baywatch, Jumanji and Shazam!) and currently stars in HBO's Ballers.
Perhaps most importantly -- at least as it relates to a potential political career -- The Rock is seemingly universally adored for his charm, positivity and motivational abilities.
It may just be a matter of time until we're referring to Johnson as the most electrifying man in all of politics.
