UFC 199: Michael Bisping to replace Chris Weidman in middleweight title fight
Bisping is the new challenger for champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 199

Michael Bisping is finally getting his title shot. The longtime UFC middleweight will replace Chris Weidman at UFC 199 on June 4 and face reigning champion Luke Rockhold in Los Angeles, UFC president Dana White announced on Wednesday.
Weidman was forced to pull out of his mandatory rematch with Rockhold after suffering a neck injury in training. It was the fourth championship fight in the last 25 months Weidman has been forced to pull out of with injuries.
There was speculation that Jacare Souza, who just fought at UFC 198 last weekend, or Uriah Hall, who was scheduled to fight Anderson Silva and had his fight cancelled due to a Silva injury, were the frontrunners to get the fight on short notice. Hall even took to Twitter to get in the bout.

However, White made it official on Wednesday that Bisping would get the shot at Rockhold in a rematch from two years ago. Rockhold submitted Bisping in the second round via guillotine choke in 2014.
Bisping is one of the oldest and most veteran fighters in UFC history to never have a title shot, taking 24 fights before getting to fight for the belt.
