There was an incredibly scary moment at the NHRA New England Nationals on Saturday.

During a qualifying race, Jack Beckman jumped out to an early lead before disaster struck. Beckman's car unexpectedly exploded, sending debris all over the track.

Here's another angle:

Fortunately you can hear Beckman tell the pit crew, "I'm good, I'm good" immediately after the explosion.

According to NHRA.com, the incident was caused by a broken camshaft that caused the air/fuel mixture to ignite in the manifold.

So, yeah. Better check for that next time.
