We've seen scary first pitches before, but they're usually scary because of how horrible they are.

Now, thanks to Nippon Professional Baseball, we have a first pitch that will actually haunt our dreams.

Rather than go with the traditional first pitch, there was a small piece of performance art between two iconic horror movie characters: Sadako from "The Ring" and Kayako from "The Grudge."

They even brought out a super creepy little kid along with some animal mascots dressed in human clothing -- just for good measure.

The result is probably the strangest, and scariest, thing you'll ever see on a baseball field.

The production was a promo for the upcoming film, The Ring vs. The Grudge, scheduled to be released in Japan on June 18.

If the movie is anything like the brief preview we got before the baseball game, viewers are in for a real treat.
