WATCH: This massive man set a record by deadlifting over half a ton
The strongman shattered the record he set earlier that night
If you ever need help lifting your couch or refrigerator, Eddie Hall is your man.
Hall vaulted himself into superhuman status this past weekend by deadlifting 1,102 pounds (500 kilos), breaking his own world record which he set earlier in the night.
Hall accomplished the feat at the World Deadlift Championships and, judging by his reaction, it certainly took a lot out of him.
"That nearly killed me," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post afterward. "The pressure on my body was surreal. I passed out after. I had nose bleeds. It's not healthy doing something like that."
I guess that's what happens when you lift roughly the weight of a grizzly bear.
"But I've done it," he added. "I'm sure it will be in the history books for a very long time."
Hall is a 28-year-old Englishman who has been Britain's Strongest Man for three years running. He finished fourth at the 2015 World's Strongest Man competition, and teamed up with Mark Felix earlier this summer to complete a combined deadlift of over 1,800 pounds.
