WATCH: Tony Hawk is 48-years-old and can still land a 900
The skateboarding legend hit the ramp 17 years after the original

Arguably the most famous moment in skateboarding history was when Tony Hawk landed a 900 at the X Games back in 1999.
The trick helped catapult skateboarding and the X Games into the mainstream, and cemented Hawk's place as a legend in his sport.
It's hard to believe, but Monday was the 17-year anniversary of Hawk's famous 900. Now 48-years-old, Hawk thought he could still pull off the trick.
So he decided to find out.
It sure wasn't easy, but neither was the first one. In fact, the 900 Hawk pulled at 48 looks almost identical to the one he landed 17 years earlier.
The biggest difference was that at the X Games he had thousands of fans, along with his fellow competitors, building up his adrenaline with cheers. This time around, it was just Hawk in an empty warehouse with a cameraman.
It must have taken some serious determination to keep going after so many failed attempts, and you can see his frustration after he finally completes the trick.
At the end of the video Hawk calls this 900 his last, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see him out there trying it again at 58.
