Dana White won't budge on letting Conor McGregor fight at UFC 200 without fulfilling his promotional duties.

White addressed the media Friday ahead of UFC 197 and confirmed that the Nate Diaz-Conor McGregor rematch is off the card as the UFC 200 main event. White said he gave McGregor every opportunity to come out to Las Vegas this week for the press event and he still refused to show.

"I just don't see how that's fair," White said. "It's just part of the deal. These guys came. ... You think I don't want Conor to fight? Of course, I do. It's just not right."

McGregor responded to White's comments with this tweet, maintaining his stance that the money he has made for UFC recently should allow him to avoid some of the promotional work.

Nate Diaz was not impressed by that tweet.

White said McGregor's next fight will be against the winner of Frankie Edgar-Jose Aldo, which will remain on the UFC 200 card.

That leaves two things left to be determined. Who will Nate Diaz fight? What will be the main event at UFC 200?

While White insisted that Nate Diaz will have a new opponent for UFC 200, Diaz wasn't so committal to remaining on the card if McGregor is not his opponent.

"I came to fight Conor McGregor. I don't really have too much interest in anyone else," said Diaz.

"If that Conor fight ain't going to happen, I'm going on vacation," Diaz said, and then when pressed if it's McGregor or bust, threw up the double thumbs up -- it was also clear that White wasn't pleased with that response.

As for the main event, White did say that Jon Jones-Daniel Cormier 2, which was supposed to happen at UFC 197 this weekend, was a "possibility" for UFC 200 on July 9.

So, in summation, White and Diaz talked, said contrasting things and we still have no idea what's going to happen on July 9.
