WWE No Mercy 2016: Matches, card, predictions, time, date, watch live stream
The SmackDown-only No Mercy pay-per-view will air live from Sacramento and start at 8 p.m. ET

WWE will present No Mercy, a SmackDown-only pay-per-view set to air live on Sunday, Oct. 9 from Sacramento. The seven-match card includes four title matches, including a triple threat showdown for the world championship.
No Mercy kicks off at 7 p.m. ET as WWE will present a one-hour kickoff show prior to the event itself, which begins at 8 p.m. and will run for three hours.
WWE has announced that, for the first time in company history, it will start the show by airing its main event. This makes sense considering the back end of No Mercy will be going up against Sunday Night Football and the second presidential debate.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of No Mercy, which will be held by WWE for the 12th time in its history and first since 2008.

Predictions
Jack Swagger vs. Baron Corbin (Kickoff Match): Corbin is on a push, while Swagger has been irrelevant since he was thrown into a world heavyweight title match at WrestleMania 29. Prediction: Baron Corbin wins
Nikki Bella vs. Carmella: Nikki recently returned to WWE after recovering from what was thought to be a potential career-ending neck injury. Since she's been back, all she's doinne is lose while the rookie Carmella has bested her. That should pay off Sunday. Prediction: Nikki Bella wins
Women's Championship -- Becky Lynch (c) vs. Alexa Bliss: Like Carmella, Bliss is a rookie who is now being positioned by WWE has a Harley Quinn wannabe. Lynch has worked too hard for too long to get her first title, and they're not going to take it off her this quickly. Prediction: Becky Lynch wins and retains her title
Tag Team Championship -- Heath Slater & Rhyno (c) vs. The Usos: Both teams undergoing rebirths, The Usos have been in WWE far too long to need a title to justify their existence. The same cannot be said for the Slater/Rhyno duo. Expect some retaliation interference by American Alpha here. Prediction: Heath Slater & Rhyno win and retain their titles
Intercontinental Championship / Retirement Match -- The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler: One of the most underrated performers in WWE, Ziggler has gotten on-again, off-again pushes that often result in him losing. Creative has latched onto that here by booking him in a match that would result in his forced retirement should he lose. Though there are rumors online about Ziggler moving on from wrestling in WWE -- supposedly he's interested in working backstage while building his comedy career -- he's only 36 and still has main event-caliber talent. On a SmackDown brand without much of that, it would be shocking to see him retire from the ring. That said, he did just get a world title push and came up short there, too. Maybe it was one last hurrah. Prediction: Dolph Ziggler wins the title
Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt: Orton's return to WWE after months out of action included him losing via TKO to Brock Lesnar. Wyatt has basically lost every major match in which he'd participated. The right move would be to put Wyatt over Orton and give him a legitimate main event push, but I don't creative being that, well ... you get it. Prediction: Randy Orton wins
World Championship -- A.J. Styles (c) vs. Dean Ambrose vs. John Cena: This match just shows you how uneven WWE split up its roster in the draft. I certainly don't see Cena winning a world title for the 16th time on a SmackDown-only pay-per-view in October, nor do I think they're going to put the strap right back on Ambrose -- a weak champion who doesn't need the belt to be over -- one month after taking it from him. Styles has done well so far and should have a nice, long run with the championship. It is nice to see Cena back in the main event picture, though, regardless of crowd reaction. Prediction: A.J. Styles wins and retains the title
