Derek Jeter on Obama's golf game: 'I took his money, so he wants it back'
Derek Jeter and President Obama had words in Cuba recently about an infamous golf game that went down in Las Vegas.
I never really thought I would be typing the words: "President Obama and Derek Jeter met up in Cuba at a baseball game to talk about golf." But that's exactly what happened this week.
Obama said Jeter once "stole money" in a golf game by once hustling him in Las Vegas. Jeter recalls the meeting quite differently.
"It was all about him embellishing a golf game," Jeter told MLB. "I told him I was coming after him for a defamation of character suit. He told everyone he gave me 30 shots on the golf course, which is very untrue.”
Jeter was joking (I presume), but it's still pretty hilarious. “I took his money, so he wants it back,” added Jeter. And I want to watch.
