How Arnold Palmer gave an amateur the 'coolest moment' in his life
Maverick McNealy loved playing in front of Arnold Palmer at Bay Hill last week. He said it was one of the coolest things he's ever done.
How does an amateur shooting a 69 in a pro event alongside Arnold Palmer's grandson do for an encore? If you're Maverick MeNealy, you go meet The King himself.
McNealy was at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week and played quite well. He finished T46 on the week, but that wasn't the best part of his time at Bay Hill. No, that came in round one when McNealy shot his 3 under score.
"This is something I'm going to tell my kids and grandkids about," said McNealy about shooting 69 alongside Palmer's grandson, Sam Saunders. "I got to play the back nine of the Arnold Palmer Invitational with Arnold Palmer watching. That's one of the coolest things ever. That was the coolest golf experience of my life. That was the coolest moment in my life for sure."
"Looks like I'm staying for the weekend." said Maverick McNealy to host Arnold Palmer. #APinv @ArniesArmyCF pic.twitter.com/W5BNhYGCEu
