LOOK: A 14-year-old won on the Ladies European Tour this weekend
This is outrageously young to be winning pro golf tournaments
Ladies European Tour golfer Atthaya Thitikul won the Ladies European Thailand Championship over the weekend to make her the youngest winner in the tour's history at 14 years of age. Let me repeat: She cannot legally drive a vehicle for more than a year, and she is out here winning a professional event in Europe!
Thitikul shot an even-par 72 on the final day to finish at 5 under for the week, two better than Ana Menendez, to become the youngest winner in Ladies European Tour history.

"I'm so happy for my win this week and feel so proud of myself," Thitikul told the Associated Press. "I give this win to all Thais. I was nervous at the first tee. But I didn't think about the scores. I just focused on my shots and only on my caddie. I didn't expect to win this tournament as I just came here to learn techniques from the pro players on the Ladies European."
Thitikul won the event as an amateur and will not turn pro.
