LOOK: 'Beef' Johnston appropriately destroys a hamburger with his driver
As metaphors go, this is a pretty great one

Andrew "Beef" Johnston introduced himself to the world by winning the Spanish Open just after the Masters in April. He said he could not wait to get wasted, and then he did just that.
The Tour de Johnston continued at the U.S. Open and, most recently, at the Bridgestone Invitational where he was given a hamburger to hit with his driver. He obliged, of course, and food went everywhere.

Johnston's free-wheeling attitude (and propensity to eat large portions of meat) are wonderfully profiled here by Will Gray. Also, there's the matter of his famous nickname.
Ironically enough, the Beef nickname has nothing to do with eating. When he was growing up, one of his friends noted that his bushy mane of hair resembled a slab of meat, and he started calling him "beef head." The nickname stuck, and now it's permanently emblazoned on Johnston's left shoulder - the product of a few too many pints one night as a 16-year-old.
If you are not rooting for him at The Open, I don't know what to tell you.
