WATCH: Early look at Oakmont greens shows we're in for crazy U.S. Open
Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth and Graeme McDowell got some early work in at Oakmont this weekend
You knew Oakmont was going to be outrageous. The combined winning scores in the eight U.S. Opens played there is 9 over. And those are the champions! So Jordan Spieth's prediction, made six weeks ago, that even par would win this year rings likely after watching some of this action on the greens from Sunday's practice rounds.
First, a video from Rickie Fowler's Snapchat in which a ball trickles up to the hole and shoots past. How is anyone going to break 80?

This video of a Jordan Spieth chip that slowly moves towards the pin shows just how difficult it's going to be to stop the rock on lag putts and chips.

Which of course leads us to how difficult it's actually going to be to chip out of the absurd rough at Oakmont.

The carnage will be beautiful, won't it?

"This is already well past U.S. Open ready," said Spieth. "Even with the pins today and the conditions today, certainly over par wins if it's windy. It's tough. You have to stay in the fairway and have a lot of discipline."
