This is why Jason Day is No. 1 in the world. Needing an eagle to give himself a chance on the final hole of the 2016 PGA Championship, Day hit an iron off the par-5 18th tee before destroying a 2-iron from 254 yards to about 10 feet.

It was an unbelievable shot in a huge moment.

At the time Day was just two down to Walker and thought an eagle at the last might tie it as Walker was playing the tough par-5 17th. After the 2-iron to get on the green, Day looked up at the leaderboard and was devastated to see Walker's score change from 13 under to 14 under as he had just made birdie at the 17th. Day knew he would need the eagle plus a Walker bogey at the last.

He got the putt touching off one of the most thrilling holes in recent major history. But he fell one short of Walker in the end as Walker made par at the 18th for the one-stroke win.

Day's shot was an extremely clutch moment on the biggest hole of the tournament though. When we think of this tournament in 10 years, we'll think of the excitement Day created at the end.
