The Texas Rangers have issued a brief statement regarding Nelson Cruz, who has been linked to a South Forida clinic and peformance enhancing drugs.

The Miami New Times, in a report released on Tuesday, detailed a relationship Cruz -- and other prominent players -- had with the clinic's director, Anthony Bosch. MLB and the DEA is already investigating Bosch.
"The Texas Rangers were contacted late last week by Miami New Times regarding the story posted this morning. At that time, the Rangers contacted Major League Baseball on that inquiry. The team has no further comment."

Waiting for MLB to complete its investigation is standard protocol in this situation, and the Yankees will do the same with Alex Rodriguez, according to Ken Davidoff of the New York Post.
