| Morgan to benefit from Gomez injury?: With Carlos Gomez being placed on the 15-day disabled list, Brewers outfielder Nyjer Morgan got the start in Sunday's series finale against the Giants. He went 0 for 4 with a walk and a run scored. He also stole his third base of the season in the 4-3 loss. Morgan has gone 3 for 18 (.167) with three runs scored in his last seven games. | Fantasy Analysis |
| Morgan has gotten off to a poor start this season but the injury to Gomez will give him plenty of playing time in the immediate future. He showed last season that he can hit for average with some low-end speed so keep an eye on his progress going forward. Morgan should be considered as more of an NL-only option heading into Week 6 (May 7-13) however. (Updated 05/06/2012). |
