20 Justin Ruggiano, CF

After going a week without a base hit, Justin Ruggiano earned the wrath of Fantasy owners and became one of the most dropped outfielders on CBSSports.com. His ownership rate has fallen from 39 to 32 percent, but that just provides an opportunity for owners to get a potentially productive outfielder on the cheap.

Ruggiano is doing almost everything he did in last year's breakout season. He is hitting home runs slightly ahead of last season's pace and is producing runs at roughly the same clip, even though the Marlins have the lowest-scoring offense in the majors. Even Ruggiano's five steals don't put him far off his 2012 course.

The big difference is Ruggiano's batting average on ground balls. Last season, he hit .364 on grounders, which he was going to be difficult to repeat, but he's overdone the regression with a .140 ground ball batting averge this year. Ruggiano will eventually find the happy medium and produce enough to be relevant in 14-team mixed leagues and deeper formats.

Ruggiano is getting a normal day off and should return to the starting lineup Friday against the Diamondbacks. He'll be replaced by Chris Coghlan, who will hit fifth. Ruggiano has failed to hit for average this year, with a .218/.302/.421 slash line. He has hit seven homers this year.

Much of his success last season was built on an extremely high .400 BABIP, which was expected to regress this year. In 116 at-bats this season, Ruggiano is hitting just .233/.310/.440. Hitters who strike out as much as Ruggiano rarely hit .300, and he's feeling the full impact of his 26.4 percent strikeout rate this year. The most promising part of Ruggiano's game is that he's continued to hit for power. He not considered an elite power hitter, and could have trouble offsetting his low average.
