| Drabek overcame command issues to win for the first time on the road this season as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-2 on Monday night. (Updated 5/22/12) STATS LLC Advice Drabek, who entered 0-3 with a 5.23 ERA away from home, allowed two runs and three hits in six innings. The right-hander walked six, struck out three and had three wild pitches. Drabek wound up throwing 118 pitches. Drabek is the first AL starter to walk at least six batters, have at least three wild pitches and still earn the victory since Juan Guzman of Texas on July 15, 1994 against the Blue Jays. |

| Drabek has walked far too many batters this season, though he’s basically been able to limit the damage done by those walks. His ERA remains solid despite walking 34 batters over 52 1/3 innings with 41 strikeouts over that span. Still, Drabek has only given up more than three earned runs in a start once all year and that does give him some mixed-league Fantasy value as he figures things out in the majors. Drabek was a two-start hurler this scoring period and that gave him some added value. His second outing comes Sunday at Texas. (Updated 05/21/2012). |
