Dodgers SS Jimmy Rollins homers in third straight game vs. Mets
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer

Jimmy Rollins did it again. The Dodgers shortstop hit a solo home run in the fifth inning of Saturday's game against the Mets. Rollins has homered in each of the first three games in the series and now has 33 career longballs against the Mets.

Rollins' blast off Matt Harvey, his 11th of the year, was of little consequence to the final result of the game, as the Mets took the 15-2 victory on Saturday.

Dodgers' Jimmy Rollins homers for second straight day
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com

Dodgers shortstop Jimmy Rollins went 2 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Mets.

Rollins hit his 10th home run of the year, a solo shot in the eighth inning. He's now homered in the last two games and has hit in three straight.

Dodgers SS Jimmy Rollins blasts home run against Mets
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer

Dodgers shortstop (and Mets killer) Jimmy Rollins took another bite out of the Big Apple on Thursday. Rollins launched a solo home run off Bartolo Colon in the third inning, giving the Dodgers a 1-0 advantage. It would be all Clayton Kershaw would need, as the Dodgers rolled to a 3-0 win.

Rollins' homer was his ninth of the year, and the 31st of his career against the Mets, which is the third-most among active players.

It was the only hit of the night for Rollins, who is batting .143 over his last 10 games.

Dodgers SS Jimmy Rollins breaks out of funk with RBI double
by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer

Jimmy Rollins came out of the All-Star break slowly, but the veteran second baseman delivered a big hit as part of a three-run rally that propelled the Dodgers to a win over the Braves on Wednesday.

Rollins was mired in an 0-for-16 drought when he connected for a fifth-inning double off Atlanta starter Julio Teheran to give the Dodgers a 2-1 lead. He would later score on a single from Joc Pederson.

It was Rollins' first RBI since a three-run day against the Phillies on July 8.

Dodgers SS Jimmy Rollins not starting on Tuesday
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer

After starting each of the last 11 games, Dodgers shortstop Jimmy Rollins is taking a seat on the bench for Tuesday's contest against the Braves. Rollins has had a dreadful go of it in his first season with the Dodgers, and he's batting just .175 (6 for 40) in those 11 games.

He'll be replaced by Enrique Hernandez at shortstop on Tuesday.
