Phillies' Domonic Brown working with Mike Schmidt during camp
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com

Phillies outfielder Domonic Brown is looking to return to form in 2015, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer

In order to do that, Brown has been working with former Phillies third baseman Mike Schmidt during camp. Schmidt is hoping to get Brown to cut down on his uppercut swing, but he's also hoping to help the outfielder mentally. "I hope to get [Brown] thinking positive again," Schmidt said. Schmidt mentioned that he would love to see Brown take home the comeback player of the year award when the season ends.

Brown admits his swing can lead to issues when he's off, but feels confident Schmidt can get him back on the right track. "When it's right, it's right. But when it's not, you need a guy who has that nice downhill swing to get you back right, and Mike Schmidt has that."

The 27-year-old Brown hit .235/.285/.349 over 473 at-bats last year.

Domonic Brown: All I can do is prepare every day to be a Phillie
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

Phillies outfielder Domonic Brown is headed back to right field now that Marlon Byrd is with the Reds. Brown is coming off a very disappointing year offensively in 2014, but he's not ready to speculate on whether a move back to right field will help improve his comfort level in the field and at the plate.

“I’m not even getting into it,” he said, per MLB.com. “Wherever I’m at, I’m going to have fun playing, wherever I am on the baseball field. Is it going to get me more comfortable at the plate? I really don’t know. I have a really different mindset this year and that’s going out and having a lot of fun. I know what my ability (is). I’m going to do what I’m (capable of doing).”

Brown could be in a make-or-break year with the Phillies, but he's not trying to focus on what the future might bring.

“I really don’t even put that in my mind,” Brown said about his future in Philadelphia. “We’ll see what happens. That’s part of the business as well. All I can do is prepare myself every day to be a Philadelphia Phillie until I get traded.”

Phillies' Sandberg: Domonic Brown 'can be big part of the lineup'
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said Wednesday outfielder Domonic Brown is ready for a fresh start in 2015 after struggling offensively in 2014, per The Philadelphia Inquirer.

“It’s a big year for Domonic Brown to see if he’s one of the pieces of the puzzle going forward,” Sandberg said. “He can help us a lot with the ability that he has. If he can get hot and put together a good, solid year, he can be a big part of the lineup.”

Brown is also moving to right field this spring after playing the last few seasons in left field.

“I think he matured quite a bit over the last couple of years,” Sandberg said. “And where he’s at with his age and everything, for him to step up and do a good job in right field. I think he has the arm out there and with the potential of his bat, he can do a good job for us.”

Phillies lock up Domonic Brown, Ben Revere for 2015
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

The Phillies have avoided arbitration with outfielders Domonic Brown and Ben Revere prior to Friday's deadline, reports the Philadelphia Daily News. Revere signed a $.1 million contract, while Brown settled for $2.5 million for 2015. Brown was arbitration-eligible for the first time this season, while Revere entered his second-year of eligibility after his 2014 campaign.

Brown had a bit of a down year after being selected to the All-Star game in 2013. He hit .235 with 10 home runs last season. Revere hit .306 with two homers and 28 RBI over 601 at-bats in 2014.

Report: Phillies to offer contracts to Brown, Bastardo, Revere
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com

The Phillies are expected to offer contracts to Domonic Brown, Antonio Bastardo and Ben Revere, according to MLB.com

All three players are eligible for salary arbitration. The team has until 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday to extend an offer to the group. If the Phillies do not offer a contract to these players, they would become free agents. All three players are expected to play a role on the club in 2015, so keeping them around shouldn't come as a surprise.
