| Perez making impression in 2012: Toronto reliever Luis Perez entered Thursday's contest with Tampa Bay pitching at the top of his game. He has yet to allow a run over 8 1/3 innings of work. "He has been outstanding," manger John Farrell told MLB.com. "Even from his first outing in spring training, his breaking ball has become much more consistent. He pitches with a lot of confidence and he believes in himself. He made a conscious effort to make an adjustment change against the attack of right-handers, they had some decent production against him last year. It shows a lot of aptitude on his part and you get a left- hander, with three pitches, that pitches middle-to-late in the game that can go multiple innings, he's a valuable pitcher for us." | Perez is pitching well and is valuable to the Blue Jay's bullpen. "He's not just a one-pitch guy that's relying on arm strength. He's pitching with three above average pitches," Farrell said.
