Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday hit his first home run of the season in his team's 6-1 win over the Brewers Tuesday.

Holliday was 0 for 3 before going yard off Jim Henderson in the ninth inning. Despite having hits in seven of his last eight games, he's had trouble getting going his April, hitting .250/.361/.385 in 52 at-bats.

Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday went 0 for 3 with two walks in his team's 6-3 loss to the Cubs Friday.

Holliday has yet to homer this season after hitting 22 home runs or more in each of the last eight seasons. His only extra-base hits have been three doubles, but he has posted an excellent 8:7 K:BB ratio while hitting .216/.341/.297 in 37 at-bats.

Cardinals veteran outfielder Matt Holliday continued his torrid spring Thursday in a dismantling of Atlanta. He raised his batting average to .563 with a double, two runs and a walk.

The 34-year-old Holliday remained one of the most consistently productive hitters in the sport last season by batting .300 with 22 home runs, 94 RBI and a .490 slugging percentage. He has recorded at least 88 RBI and 94 runs in every fully healthy season since 2006.

Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday continued his excellent start to the spring Friday, going 3 for 3 with two RBI in his team's 5-5 tie with the Mets.

Holliday is a remarkable 8 for 9 at the plate in his first four games with two doubles, five RBI and one walk to his credit. He has been a strong performer in spring throught hit career, posting a .300 batting average or better in every season going back to 2007. He is a career .345/.413/.601 hitter in spring training.

Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday went 0 for 3 with a walk Wednesday as his team fell to the Red Sox 6-1 in Game 6 to fall 4-2 in the 2013 World Series.

Holliday grounded out in his first two at-bats before coming up with runners on the corners and two outs in the fifth inning with his team down six runs. He couldn't get his team on the board, flying out to right field to end the inning with the Cardinals down 6-0. Up with runners on the corners again in the seventh, Holliday drew a walk to load the bases, ending starter John Lackey's night, but he couldn't come around to score. Holliday had a double, triple and two home runs during the series but went just 1 for 11 over the final three games.
