Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford has been able to run the bases at extended spring training, but he's still feeling some soreness as he goes around turns, according to the Orange County Register.

Manager Don Mattingly told the Register he thinks Crawford is still lagging behind teammate Matt Kemp in his recovery from a similar injury. Kemp is expected to begin a rehab assignment next week.

"I've always thought of Carl as being behind Matt," Mattingly said.

Crawford has been out since June 1 with a left hamstring strain. 

Dodgers left fielder Carl Crawford won't return from the disabled list after the minimum 15 days, the Los Angels Times reports. Crawford's hamstring injury is "fairly significant," manager Don Mattingly said.

Crawford was removed from Sunday's game with a hamstring cramp and was placed on the disabled list the following day with a hamstring strain.
