Mets catching prospect Travis d'Arnaud will be re-evaluated in two weeks to determine whether he can begin baseball activities. 

d'Arnaud will have to rehab before joining Triple-A Las Vegas. There's been talk about people within the organization that d'Arnaud won't be up until after the All-Star break, even if he's ready, according to MetsBlog.com. 

With d'Arnaud expected out, John Buck has a good chance to stick with the team for the entire season. He was thought to be a prime trade candidate earlier in the year. 

Mets catcher John Buck went 1 for 3 with a walk and run scored during a 3-2 loss to Pittsburgh Sunday. Buck also struck out twice -- his fourth-consecutive multi-K game -- but did get his first stolen base since Sept. 20, 2009 as a member of the Royals.

Mets catcher John Buck may be one of the few players in the league with double-digit home runs, but he went hitless in his third straight game Wednesday against the White Sox. Buck is 0 for 11 over his last three games, dropping his season batting average to .236.

Buck will try and break his mini-slump when the Pirates come to town to start a four-game series Thursday.
