Orioles shortstop J.J. Hardy has owned Justin Verlander of the Tigers this season. Facing off against him Tuesday in Detroit, Hardy homered in the 5-2 win. 

Hardy took Verlander deep in the fourth inning for a two-run blast, his 14th of the year. It was his third homer off Verlander this season in two games. He finished the game 3 for 4 and is batting .271. 

Hardy has hit in four straight games and is 7 for 15 over that span with three RBI. He has 42 RBI on the year with 14 doubles and 28 runs scored.
