Mariners starting pitcher Aaron Harang, who was scratched from his last start with back stiffness, played catch before Saturday's game and is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Sunday, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports.

Harang is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday against the Angels.

The Mariners believe starter Aaron Harang, who was scratched Thursday with a back injury, will be able to make his next start Tuesday, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Harang has dealt with back issues in the past, but he doesn't believe the issue will linger. Harang has a 7.30 ERA in 24 2/3 innings despite 23 strikeouts against five walks.

"Just from it getting out of alignment," Harang told the Times. "I've had regular chiropractor treatments. Just with all the flying, you're on the plane and sitting — I've got my legs spread out and can't put them straight forward because of how long my legs are — it's just the little stuff I've got to keep doing."

If Harang can avoid a trip to the disabled list, he'll likely face the Angels Tuesday.

"I feel good with how things are going," he said. "I feel we’ve kind of hit the nail on the head with something and now it’s just a matter of repeating that and keeping it going. I think that’s the biggest thing, just getting the repetitions to help me repeat that motion."
