Rangers first baseman Prince Fielder homers in Monday's loss
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Rangers first baseman Prince Fielder hit his 23rd home run and 28th double as part of a 3 for 4 game with four RBI in Monday's loss to Detroit.

In his last 15 games, Fielder now has seven multi-hit games, four three-hit games, and now two games with multiple extra-base hits.

He is hitting a robust .317/.394/.587 in that stretch and has his season line up to .307/.379/.471. Fielder has shown up as a leader for this Rangers squad in its push for the playoffs and will have to be the rock in their lineup for the final six games.

Rangers 1B Prince Fielder slugs 22nd homer in Thursday victory
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Rangers massive first baseman Prince Fielder cranked out a two-run homer and walked as well Thursday in a defeat of Oakland. The homer was his only hit.

Fielder was one of the hottest hitters in baseball last week, but he was just 2 for 27 over his previous seven games. It's been a frustrating season for Fantasy owners hoping for his typical power, but at the end of the day, we can't be disappointed with his numbers. Fielder has 22 homers, 86 RBI and a .303 average.

Rangers 1B Prince Fielder has two-HR, five-RBI outburst
by Rotowire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Rangers first baseman Prince Fielder smashed two homers, drove in five runs and scored three Wednesday, leading the way in a 14-3 demolition of the Astros.

The second half has not been kind to Fielder. He entered the All-Star break hitting .339/.403/.521 with 14 homers, but had hit just four in the following 52 games before busting one out Monday. He was beginning to warm up before this series against the Rangers' divisional rivals, but Fielder has really exploded versus the Astros, going 8 for 13 with three homers, eight RBI and eight runs in the first three games of this four-game set.

Rangers' Prince Fielder out, Mitch Moreland in at 1B Wednesday
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer

Rangers slugger Prince Fielder has been given a day off, as he is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's series-finale against the Rockies. This will be Fielder's first day off since June 18. It had been expected that he would have this day off, with the designated hitter position not available.

Mitch Moreland, who was held out of the first two games of the series in Colorado, will assume first base duties and bat cleanup on Wednesday.
