| Hanrahan picks up 11th save : Pirates closer Joel Hanrahan was able to notch his 11th save of the season during Friday night's contest against the Cubs. Hanrahan came on in the ninth inning but ran into a little trouble. He surrendered a single to two of the first three batters he faced, but was able strikeout David DeJesus and Starlin Castro to end the game. He is now 11 for 12 in save chances. | Hanrahan has now recorded a save in each of his last five outings and he has also notched at least one strikeout in four of those outings. The right-hander also told reporters on Friday that he is now completely over hamstring issue that bothered him at the end of last month and it has been showing on the mound. Fantasy owners should continue to roll with the 30-year-old in the majority of formats moving forward. (Updated 05/25/2012). |
