Diamondbacks third baseman Martin Prado went 3 for 4 with a double in his team's 5-2 loss to the Mets Wednesday.

Prado entered Wednesday's game with just one hit in 16 at-bats over his previous five appearances. His three-hit performance boosted his line to .261/.301/.319 in 69 at-bats.

Diamondbacks infielder Martin Prado continued his solid run of play Tuesday, with his third multi-hit game in a row. He went 3 for 4 with one run scored in a 7-3 loss to the Giants.

Prado raised his batting average to .268 with the game, and has raised it over .150 points since the start of a four-game hitting streak.

Prado is dealing with a finger injury, and was considered questionable for Saturday's game. He had to leave Friday night due to the issue. Prado will hit fourth against the Rockies.

Martin Prado exits with cut on left hand

Diamondbacks infielder Martin Prado was forced from Friday's game against the Rockies, after sustaining an injury to his left hand in the field. He appeared to suffer the injury, a laceration, while applying a tag on the bases in the sixth inning.

Manager Kirk Gibson told the Arizona Republic after the game the injury is not a serious one, and shouldn't keep Prado out of the lineup for more than a day.

Diamondbacks announce lineup for opener

Diamondbacks third baseman Martin Prado is batting cleanup in his team's regular-season opener against the Dodgers in Australia.

Prado made 28 of his 149 starts last season in the No. 4 spot in the order, batting .296/.349/.470 in 115 at-bats from that spot in the lineup. The entire Diamondbacks lineup: CF A.J. Pollock, 2B Aaron Hill, 1B Paul Goldschmidt, 3B Prado, LF Mark Trumbo, C Miguel Montero, SS Chris Owings, RF Gerardo Parra, P Wade Miley.
