Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson tagged for four runs in losing effort
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com

Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings of work in Los Angeles' 8-3 loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

Wilson had issues in the second inning when Mike Napoli belted a solo shot over the Green Monster. Then in the third, Wilson put runners on first and third for Mookie Betts, who singled to left center, plating another run. Wilson then surrendered a second home run to Mike Napoli, this time a two-run shot.

Wilson, now 2-3, moved his ERA to 3.36 in 59 innings of work. He will look to get back on track Thursday against the Tigers.

Angels' C.J. Wilson allows four runs in no-decision vs. Blue Jays
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com

Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson didn't factor into the decision Monday, giving up four earned runs on 10 hits and two walks in five innings while striking out three in his team's 10-6 loss to the Blue Jays.

Wilson gave up more than two runs for the first time in six starts on Monday, and he limited the damage to one poor inning, as the Blue Jays plated four runners in the second inning to take a 4-0 lead. The Angels were able to storm back and take the lead in the top of the sixth but then let the lead slip away in the bottom half of the inning.

"I made enough bad pitches to put myself in some bad situations against a good-hitting team," Wilson said to Orange County Register. "If I made the pitches I wanted to make, I got guys out, but I was just missing enough to give the guys the chance to put the barrel on it."

Wilson owns a 3.06 ERA and 36:13 K:BB ratio in 53 innings. He's lined up to square off with the Red Sox in Boston on Saturday.

C.J. Wilson gives Angels eight solid innings in win over Rockies
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson went eight innings strong to pick up his second win of the season Tuesday night against the Rockies.

Wilson (2-2) permitted a sacrifice fly in the third and a run-scoring double to Corey Dickerson in the fourth. He was charged with two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six over eight innings of a 5-2 victory. Of his 111 pitches, 70 were strikes.

"I'm thankful all the work is paying off. It's not the easiest thing in the world to reverse trends," Wilson said, per the MLB.com.

Wilson will look to climb over .500 on Monday against Toronto. He is 2-1 with a 4.14 ERA over his last six career starts against the Blue Jays.

Angels P C.J. Wilson earns quality start in Wednesday's game
by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com

Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson failed to earn a win during Wednesday's 4-3 victory over the Mariners, but he did receive a quality start for his effort.

Wilson tossed seven solid innings of work after giving up two runs on seven hits. He also struck out four batters and walked none. His lone mistake was a two-run home run to Kyle Seager in the fourth inning. He lowered his ERA to 2.70.

Wilson was in line for the win during the game, but closer Huston Street was not able to close the game in the ninth. The Angels won the game on a walk-off double from Johnny Giavotella.

Wilson's next expected start is scheduled for Tuesday against the Rockies.
