Astros pitcher Scott Feldman struggles with command Sunday
by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com

Astros pitcher Scott Feldman surrendered three runs on seven hits with two walks in 4 1/3 innings pitched against the Yankees Sunday. Feldman needed 83 pitches to get through the outing and most concerned with his pitch location, reports the Houston Chronicle.

"I want to get my command better before the season starts," Feldman said. "It's just a progression, trying to just set the foundation here and take it into the season."

Feldman was taken to deep right field in the third for his first run by Chase Headley.

"Headley is a good hitter," said Feldman, who will start the second game of the season. "I kind of just got it into the happy zone for him, and he put a good swing on it."

Feldman on bad outing: 'I had no idea where I was throwing the ball'
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

Astros starting pitcher Scott Feldman had another rough outing during Monday's spring game against the Braves. Feldman (0-1) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks in three innings, while recording no strikeouts in 14-10 loss.

Feldman has allowed eight runs in his last two starts (six innings). He has a 10.13 ERA through three spring starts.

“Ugh. I was like, felt like I never pitched before,” Feldman said, per the Houston Chronicle. “It was the weirdest feeling. … You don’t want to have bad body language. I could feel myself out there just like, I don’t know. I felt like my head was going to explode. I had no idea where I was throwing the ball. It was really an annoying game.”

Astros' Hinch announces rotation plans for Feldman, McHugh
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

Astros manager A.J. Hinch said Wednesday starting pitcher Scott Feldman will start the second game of the season on April 8 against the Indians, per the Houston Chronicle. He also added Collin McHugh will also start the third or fourth game.

“Feldman’s lined up to pitch right behind (Dallas) Keuchel, which is good,” Hinch said. “And then somewhere in the third or fourth game you’ll see Collin McHugh. We got to sort out some health (issues) and some competition for the other guys.

"I caution lining it too perfectly too early just because a lot of things can happen, but Keuchel one, Feldman two is a good lineup.”

Astros' Scott Feldman on spring debut: 'It was good'
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com

Astros pitcher Scott Feldman made his spring debut Sunday, giving up one earned run on two hits and one walk in two innings while striking out two in his team's 2-2 tie with the Braves.

"It was good to get out there and get the rust off a little bit," Feldman said about the performance, per MLB.com. "We always work hard in the offseason -- most of us do -- and still the first time we go out there and pitch in a game, it always feels a little weird. You wonder if you're going to even be able to find the strike zone. It was good."

Feldman drew the start on opening day last season and finished 2014 with a 3.74 ERA and 107:50 K:BB ratio in 180 1/3 innings.
